Day 109 April 18

Turkey Run State Park. This is a family favorite place to go. The sandstone gorges represent 600 to 300 million years of nature's handwork. The cliffs were shaped by ice age glaciers. that created the ravines and left the huge rocks that you see jutting out of the earth. The vegetation is much the same as it was 12,000 years ago at the end of the Ice Age with mosses, ferns, and hemlock trees.
