Yesterday Mari and her friends got together for a Japanese dinner at our house. Sadatoshi cooked udon, a kind of Japanese noodle with vegetables, chicken and other things in it. We also had sushi (no raw fish) and a kind of German cake that is popular in Japan--it's called Baumkuchen, which means tree cake because it has so many layers like a tree. Anyway, they had a wonderful dinner, conversation, and played games.
