Mari's tree. This is a Sweetbay Magnolia that I planted when Mari was born sixteen years ago. It blooms in June and the smell is just so wonderful. I wish I had smell-a-blog for you. Kind of lemony.
I'm excited to be in a new year--a new decade. I enjoyed taking so many pictures in 2009 that I am going to continue in 2010. With family, work, and all the things going on in each of our lives, it is important to appreciate all the little and big things that make up our lives--meals, work, flowers, travel, nature, etc. It is a sampling of all these things that I hope to capture in 365 photographs.
Lovely picture. Susan, you could open a shop and sell your pictures - they'd look beautiful on walls, everywhere.
ReplyDeleteI think this is another one fit to be framed and put on the wall. It looks kind of like a gardenia doesn't it?
ReplyDeletebeautiful picture and a great blossom!
ReplyDeleteLove the smell as I know it!
