On the freeway today I saw five police cars escorting two loads of these extra long I-beams/girders--I don't know what you call them. They were very long, but were five state police cars really necessary as an escort? It must have been a slow crime day.

Hey, I just figured out where the term "I beam" comes from! 5 patrol cars does seem to be a bit much - it's not like those trucks are traveling over mountains where things might slide a bit. :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe it's cheaper to escort trucks than chase criminals? I mean, with the economy the way it is everyone is cutting back on expenses...haha
